Nintendo Distorts YouTube

After the success of the Wario Shake It experience on YouTube’s Wii channel, Nintendo is beginning to cut out a space for itself within the massive online media site. Leo Burnett and Domani just concepted and produced the latest channel page for the Nintendo DS. The channel currently highlights the latest installment of the Pokemon game title, Pokemon Platinum.

The game itself is centered around a new world where in which time and space are not a constant. This Distortion World led to the idea of warping the channel page itself. The channel takes advantage of the ever popular Papervision to create an immersive space populated with featured videos and channel panels.

The channel has been out for under a week and has already become the 6th most subscribed channel in all of YouTube for the month. The comments from users (not seeded!) is also quite telling that both the game and the channel experience are a hit!
